I’ve kind of been naughty and not doing my demo and instead mucking around on my brand new Linux installation but today I got down some small ideas for track 2 off my demo. Nothing too great but I like the idea of going from something overly ‘punk’-like to something much akin to Black Metal. Not sure what I’ll be adding to the background there but I imagine it will be growled lyrics about the death of a cartridge battery or something

One thing I like on this idea is the really awesome sound I got from my Gameboy, (I’ve submitted it to the LSDJ patchbook so hopefully it’ll be out there soon). It reminds me of that bit in the matrix where the weird silvery stuff goes down Neo’s throat and his scream goes into a modem sound. Works on the low frequencies better and I’m sure the speed setting would easily make it faster or slower.
